Konstantinos Markantonakis is a Professor of Information Security at Royal Holloway, University of London. He directs the Information Security Group Smart Card and IoT Security Centre and the Transformative Digital Technologies, Security and Society Catalyst. His research interests include smart cards, mobile and embedded device security, the Internet of Things, distributed ledgers and smart contracts, trusted execution environments, payment systems, and automotive and avionics security. He has published extensively, led UK and EU funded projects, contributed to patent applications and worked in financial services and security consultancy.
