Professor Tim Watson is Director of the Cyber Institute at Loughborough University and Director of Defence and Security at The Alan Turing Institute. With more than thirty years of experience across government, industry and academia, he has worked on major programmes and advised organisations in telecommunications, power and transport. His research combines artificial intelligence and cyber security and includes work on synthetic environments, smart cities, anomaly detection, cyber crime, automated defence, insider threats and the protection of critical national infrastructure.
